GLBHC is Hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist (Substance Use Disorder) Near Saginaw, MI

Job Summary

This position includes a sign-on Bonus: LMSW- $3,000

Substance Use Disorder (SUD)-The Substance Use Disorder Behavioral Health Specialist provides counseling and support to individuals experiencing addiction. Assists the individual in their recovery process by using strategic interventions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school of social work or Master’s degree in psychology or counseling with appropriate accreditation.
  • State of Michigan License as an LMSW.
  • Substance abuse counseling certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the behavioral health setting.
  • Previous substance use disorder experience preferred.

OR

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • State of Michigan License as LLMSW.
  • Enrolled in a Development Plan as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with MCBAP.
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or substance use disorder preferred.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred.

AND

  • Able to function effectively in the treatment of clients.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Able to resolve interpersonal and professional conflicts appropriately.

Compensation, Benefits & Structure of the Substance Use Disorder Counselor/Therapist Position
This position includes a sign-on Bonus: LMSW- $3,000! This position includes a competitive salary structure based on skills and experience and a comprehensive benefit and retirement package.
